Happy Mocha's Cup of Kona - "Kona"
Kona was born on March 2, 2005. She is the daughter of Happy Shadow's Mochaccino and Yukon Jack Long. Her registered name is Happy Mocha's Cup of Kona. Kona was the 7th puppy born out of a litter of 11.
How did I choose Kona? I didn't. My father chose her. He nicknamed her "Queenie Kona". Boy, does that nickname fit her personality!
Kona started dock jumping at 6 months old. Her first jump was a whopping 8"! Kona now holds a Senior title with DockDogs nationally and regionally. Kona has also earned her Novice, Junior, and Senior titles with Ultimate Air Dogs. She has personal bests of: DockDogs pool 17'2", DockDogs Regional 21'10", Ultimate Air Dogs pool 18'0", Ultimate Air Dogs short dock/pool 15'8", and WonderDogs 11'3".
Like Mocha, Kona is just an all-around great dog. She is friendly, loyal, and a companion. Her favorite activity outside of dock jumping is sitting on the couch and waiting for someone to bark at. Dragging the cat, Pumpkin, around the house is a close second.
In November 2007, Kona started taking agility classes. She will begin competing in agility some time this summer/fall. Kona is also going to start competing in frisbee this spring.
